There are two ways to find London real estate the wrong way, and the way that involves using independent property agents to get you what you really want. On the one hand, you end up with something almost, but not quite, entirely unlike anything you have asked for; and on the other, which is the right way of doing things, you will get hold of exactly what you need in a surprisingly short space of time.
The problem with trying to get hold of London real estate in the first place is this. There is so much of it that finding anything remotely like what you really want is actually less likely than it would be if there was not so much of it. Why is this? Because, basically, having too much of something means that finding and choosing particular examples of it is much less likely than if you have less to choose from in the first place. A very basic calculation would express it like this: if you have 25 properties to choose from, then you have a one in 25 chance of getting the one you want. If you have one hundred thousand pieces of London real estate to look at, you have a one in one hundred thousand chance of finding what you need.
What you need, when you are operating against these kinds of numbers, is a guide. Someone who is capable of leading you through the tortuous maze of real estate so you can pick up the threads that will take you to the right places. You need an independent lettings agent with a good reputation and excellent contacts. Do not let the profusion of high street realtors confuse you. Just because there are hundreds of branches of a single London real estate broker to choose from, it does not mean that that London real estate broker is actually any good. Remember: there are hundreds of thousands of pieces of real estate in London, so a broker with many branches is simply interested in too many properties.
No what you need is a property agent who has three, maybe four offices and a very clear idea of who to go to for what you need. The best kind of property agent will listen to what you want and then get in touch with his or her contacts to see if they can help you fulfil your needs rather than listening to what you want and then shoving you in the direction of something that sort of fits the bill but not really. Your London real estate broker needs, first and foremost, to listen to who you are and what you are looking for. The actual process of dining your property should come later, once the agency has developed a clear idea of your needs. Thats the litmus test, really: if a London property agent takes the time to get to know you, then he or she is probably the right one to use. More The Right Way To Find London Real Estate Topics
